Glenn Ball goes from strength to strength & continues to make his mark on the entertainment world!
Glenn began his full time, formal training in the Performing Arts at The Ravenscourt Theatre School, London. It wasn’t long before Glenn was a working child actor in television series like the BBC’s ‘Armstrong & Miller’, ‘Hope & Glory’ & the film ‘About a Boy’. During his studies he developed his love for all styles of dance and his training paid off at the tender age of sixteen when he successfully auditioned for the World Tour of ‘Spirit of The Dance’. As the youngest member of the company, completing European, UK and American tours.
Ready for a new challenge upon completing the tours, Glenn then turned his attention to the commercial dance world. He soon became a regular face on music shows such as ‘Top of the Pops’, CD:UK, and live events across the world dancing and appearing in campaigns for Pop industry giants such as Mariah Carey, Kylie Minogue & Jennifer Lopez. Other artists Glenn worked with include: Girls Aloud – Take That – Sugababes – Lionel Richie -Scissor Sisters and many many more. During this period, he also began an exciting modeling career for designers such as Louis Vuitton, Alexander McQueen, Speedo, Reebok to name a few.
In 2004 Glenn was snapped up by Pop mogul Pete Waterman to be a part of his post ‘Steps’ group ‘POP!”. The four-piece boy/girl group enjoyed chart success and garnered two number ones in the UK dance chart and 3 top 20's in the UK singles chart. Glenn became a darling of the pop & teen magazines, his posters adorning the walls of teenage girls throughout the UK. ‘Pop!’ Created for Glenn a huge fan base, which exists today. His website enjoys thousands of hits per week with fans hungry for news and new pics! Following ‘Pop’s third single the band went their separate ways and Glenn returned to commercial dance and went to work for his old pal, Kylie Minogue on her sell out ‘Showgirl’ World tour. Featured on the DVD of the show, Glenn had an amazing time working with such a highly skilled team of international dancers but soon was
hungry for a fresh challenge!
In 2006, Glenn became one of the UK’s youngest and innovative professional choreographers when a fantastic opportunity revealed itself in the form of ‘The X-Factor’ UK tour. Glenn was enlisted and worked as choreographer for artists such as Shane Ward, Chico, Brenda Edwards, Andy Abraham & Journey South. His association with the stars of the hit television talent show continues and Glenn choreographed the number one hit ‘Chico Time’ for the man himself. Soon after this Glenn got a chance to display his entrepreneurial skills by helping to set up United Dance Organization (UDO) which provides national street-dance workshops & competitions for students from 5-years old up to 85 years old. United dance has now been running for 4 years and is the biggest members organization in the world with over 10 000 members and ambassadors such as Kimberly Wyatt (Pussy Cat Dolls) Ashley from Diversity and Chipmunk.
